Guidelines for Submission of Newsletter Articles
The Editor and Review Committee
will consider submissions which meet the following requirements:
- The Newsletter is interested in manuscripts which address successful
practices in public and private school throughout the State.
We are interested in having educators share their successful experiences
with other educators throughout the state.
- Manuscripts should be double spaced, typed or word processed
on standard sized paper with wide margins and numbered pages.
- The manuscript may also be submitted on disk. The program must
be Windows compatible and word processed in either Microsoft Word
or Publisher.
- Charts, graphs, illustrations or any other type of figure should
be large, clear and precise.
- Text length for articles should range from 1000 - 1200 words.
This is not a hard and fast rule but since we would like to include
more than one article in each issue we will limit the articles
to 1200 words.
- Since these are descriptions of successful practices, please
include the name of the contact person in the district for anyone
wishing to receive further information about the project.
- Newsletter articles do not require footnotes and references.
It is the author's choice whether to include them or not. The
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (1994
Edition) should be used as a guide for those choosing to use footnotes
and references.
The Editor of the Newsletter along
with the Review Committee reserve the right to edit, alter, or condense
articles to conform to the Association's publication standards.
A submission
form must be completed and submitted to NYSASCD. Manuscripts
