Guidelines for Submission of Manuscripts  for IMPACT

The Editor and Review Committee will consider submissions which meet the following requirements:

  • Manuscripts should be double spaced, typed or word processed on standard sized paper with wide margins and numbered pages.
  • Manuscripts may also be submitted on disk.  The program must be Windows compatible and word processed in either Microsoft Word or Publisher .
  • All additional materials (charts, graphs, illustrations) should be large, clear and precise.
  • Texts of any length will be considered, but articles of 2,000 - 2,500 words are preferred.
  • Information about the author (credentials, current position, previous publications) should be enclosed with the manuscript.
  • For consistency in footnote style and format, we recommend that both reference footnotes and content footnotes be places at the conclusion of the article prior to Bibliography/References.
  • The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (1994 Edition) and Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary should be used as a guide for footnote references. In addition, it may be helpful to consult a current issue of the Journal for examples of references.

The Editor of the Journal along with the Review Committee reserve the right to edit, alter, or condense articles to conform to IMPACT standards. Accepted manuscripts cannot be returned; unpublished manuscripts will be returned if accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.

A submission form must be completed and submitted to NYSASCD. All manuscripts should be sent to:
