NYSASCD Publications

ASCD's IMPACT on Instructional Improvement is published biannually in January and May.

Individuals interested in submitting articles for any specific journal should review the Call for Papers and the Publication Guidelines. Further, if a guest editor is announced, it is suggested that he/she be contacted to discuss the proposed submission.

 

Please be advised that IMPACT is a thematic journal and submissions must address some aspect of the announced theme. Individuals interested in submitting an article need to complete the information form and submit it to NYSASCD.

 

ASCDevelopments is published six times per year in September, November, January, March, May and June.

Individuals interested in submitting articles of interest to Pre-K - 12 practitioners should review the Guidelines for Submission of Newsletter Articles and contact Anthony Melllo, NYSASCD Executive Director concerning their proposed article. The information form should be completed and submitted to NYSASCD.

Proposed title of submission

A short description of the proposed article.Please include the following:

name of the district,

Is this a classroom, building level or district wide response

ASCD IMPACT

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS

The Editors and Review Committee will consider submissions which meet the following requirements.

  • Manuscripts must be typed or word processed , double spaced, printed on standard sized paper with one inch margins and numbered pages.
  • Manuscripts may be submitted on disk. Programs must be PC compatible and software must be either microsoft word or microsft publisher.
  • All additional materials(charts, graphs,illustrations)must be clearly labeled and marked as to placement in the text.
  • Manuscripts should be at least 2000 words and a maximum of 3000 words if possible, However, all articles will be considered based on the relationship to the theme of the specific journal
  • Information about the author must be included with each submission. Please include with the manusscript the following information-author's credentials, current position, location of current position, prior publications
  • For consistency in footnote style and format we ask that writers use the most recent edition of The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. Please be advised that reference footnotes and content footnotes are to be placed at the end of the masnuscript.

The editorial review committee reserves the right to edit, alter or condense articles to conform to IMPACT standards. Accepted manuscripts will be returned if accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.
